Cheasapeake and Ohio Canal - July 2003 The C&O Canal goes from Georgetown to Cumberland, Maryland. To quote the NPS document about the C&O Canal "the towpath, built for the mules that pulled the boats, provides a nearly level byway for bikers and bicyclists to experience the quiet beauty of the canal". We went from Brunswick to Williamsport and back for a total of 100 miles in 3 days. Click the images below for a full size photo.
